Haven ("we," "us," or "the app") is a wellness and relaxation app that provides guided meditations, breathing exercises, calming sounds, a supportive companion to talk to, and a way to find licensed therapists. This Privacy Policy explains what information Haven handles and how. We built Haven to be a private, safe space, and we take your privacy seriously.
Information we handle
Account information. When you create an account, we handle your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that service (Apple may provide a private relay email if you choose).
Information stored on your device. Most of your activity — your preferences, session, meditation history, and settings — is stored locally on your own device and is not sent to us.
Conversations. Messages you send to Haven's in-app companion are processed by a third-party service in order to generate a response. We do not use your conversations to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them.
Location. If you use the "Find a Therapist" feature and choose "Use My Location," your device's approximate location is used at that moment to search for nearby results. We do not store your location.
Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Haven does not receive or store your full card details.
How we use information
We use the limited information above to create and secure your account, provide the app's features, respond to your messages, process subscriptions, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
Haven relies on a few trusted services to function, and information may be processed by them for the purposes described above:
Google and Apple — for optional sign-in.
Stripe — for subscription payments.
Our messaging and email providers — to power the in-app companion and to send account-related emails.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
Data retention and deletion
Information stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. You may request that we delete your account information by contacting us at the email below, and we will do so within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
Haven is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
